Quarmup SMS Opt-In Flow
This page shows how signed-in Quarmup users opt in to receive SMS notifications about groups and events they belong to. The live opt-in page is inside authenticated account settings, so this public page provides reviewer evidence for the gated flow.
Who opts in
A signed-in Quarmup user adds their own US phone number.
Where consent happens
The user opens Profile > Notification Preferences and checks the SMS opt-in box.
What texts cover
Texts cover group events, RSVP reminders, quorum nudges, and RSVP links.
Opt-In Steps
- 1The user creates or signs in to their Quarmup account at https://quarmup.com.
- 2The user adds their own US phone number on the authenticated profile page at https://quarmup.com/profile.
- 3The user goes to https://quarmup.com/profile/notifications and checks the Opt in to SMS notifications checkbox. The checkbox is not pre-checked.
- 4A confirmation dialog repeats the SMS disclosure. The user must choose I agree, enable SMS before SMS notifications are enabled.

Step 2: User adds their own phone number
Before SMS can be enabled, the signed-in user enters their own US mobile number on the authenticated Profile page.

The user provides their own US mobile number here. This field is separate from the SMS consent checkbox.
This stores the user's phone number only. SMS consent is not granted until the user later checks the SMS opt-in box in Notification Preferences.
